About HSBC KitPlus
Acorn Insurance Services (Southampton) Ltd is pleased to offer you HSBC KitPlus - a kit, home contents
and personal possessions insurance policy specially tailored for member and ex-members
of the armed forces, including Ministry of Defence Personnel.
Available to all serving members, whether regular, reservist or territorial, the policy
is designed with your needs in mind.
HSBC KitPlus covers service uniforms, kit and equipment - other than weaponry and vehicles - that have
been issued to you or that you have purchased. The policy covers your personal possessions
on a worldwide basis. It can also cover your home contents on a worldwide basis or, at a lower
premium, within the United Kingdom. Cover is provided for legal expenses. In addition, cover
for buildings of your home situated in the United Kingdom is available. Cover will
automatically include your spouse or partner and family as applicable.
We recognise that you need the best cover with the fewest restrictions, leaving you free to do
your job without having to worry about insurance. We have designed the policy to be as flexible
as possible and have even made it 'portable', so you can take it with you when you leave the
services.
The premiums are competitive and payable in monthly instalments by Direct Debit to make life easier.
If you wish to see details of the cover provided by the policy, your broker or independent financial adviser
will have a copy for you to review and will be happy to answer any questions you may have
